Does Fluoride help our teeth?

In my research to find more answers, unfortunately many of the websites were endorsed by our government, whom I do not consider to be a place I trust for medical advice or knowledge concerning drugs, minerals, and how they affect our bodies.  I did find (I believe to be) a reputable source that claims they do not use fluoride in their practice (which is a Dental clinic) and why.

For this particular office, after having done the research found no indication of fluoride being beneficial to our health.  On the contrary, it has some very serious side effects.  Fluoride has been tested and has not shown to be effective in preventing tooth decay. Furthermore, the Center for Disease Control acknowledged in their report of August 17, 2001 “The prevalence of dental caries (cavities) in a population is not inversely related to the concentration of fluoride in the enamel, and higher concentrations of enamel fluoride is not necessarily more efficacious in preventing dental caries.”

Fluoride has also been known to cause:  cancer, brittle bones, dental fluorosis (white spots on the teeth), and neurological impairment.

I am so thankful that there are dentists out there that are doing their research and genuinely care about people and their health.
