So many beneficial natural medicines that have proven themselves for thousands of years in other countries have spread like fire in the US.

* Acupuncture-Acupuncture is a holistic health technique that stems from Traditional Chinese Medicine practices in which trained practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles into the skin. The first question most people ask is, “Does acupuncture hurt?” Surprisingly, although needles are used in acupuncture, treatments are relatively pain-free. In fact, one of the most popular uses of acupuncture is to reduce chronic pain throughout the body in a natural way, without the need for medications that can cause unwanted side effects. - Dr. Axe

I personally have not experienced acupuncture, but have heard many people that have benefited from this practice.

However, as in any company, it is best to go to a trusted practitioner. It is essential the person performing the acupuncture is skilled in this practice.

* Essential oils have been around for centuries, dating back as far as Biblical days when Jesus was anointed with frankincense and myrrh upon his birth. They’ve been utilized since ancient times in various cultures, including China, Egypt, India and Southern Europe.

Essential oils are natural, extracted from flowers, leaves, bark or roots of plants. It’s best to make sure you use pure essential oils, meaning oils that have not been diluted with chemicals or additives. - Dr. Axe

You can use essential oils in your bath (for example: lavender and tea tree oil, in your hair, in a diffuser to clean the air, on cuts, your facial cream and lotions, etc. Both Doterra and Young Living also have blends that off support for a variety of emotional circumstances.

I have found great value having these herbs within arms reach. If you are just starting out with oils, I recommend lavender, tea tree, and peppermint.

* Muscle Testing- Muscle testing is also known as applied kinesiology (AK) or manual muscle testing (MMT). It is an alternative medicine practice that claims to effectively diagnose structural, muscular, chemical, and mental ailments. -healthline.com

Muscle testing has played a big part in my own healing journey, and one of my daughter's. When a root cause is unknown, muscle testing can be used. This is a painless way to find out where your system is weak and why.

* Massage Therapy-Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, consisting primarily of manual (hands-on) techniques such as applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and moving muscles and body tissues.-healthofchildren.com

The following detailed description was taken off of draxe.com

I have a personal friend who is a massage therapist in Minnesota that I highly recommend:

This is not a thorough list of the alternatives to medicine, but the most popular and mainstream. There are many knowledgeable health practitioners experienced in their field to give you more guidance and support.
