A poem reflecting on our culture's response to Truth
I'm looking for a treasure
I've heard its buried here
Although some say it's nonexistent
It's reality unclear
I'm certain its hidden somewhere
Underneath our feet
It could be some words in books
Thoughts in our hearts and minds
The Person dear to me
Tells me its his name
I'm looking for this treasure
For it's a rock for my feet
A key to unlock my shackles
Sanity for my mind
I've dabbled in lies
Believed twisted realities
Wounded by the bites
Fell into hidden deadly traps
I found the reason why
The Truth has been hidden
Flipping on the light switch
It's right before our eyes
We just need to choose to see it
